Inauguration of Student Forum - Broadcast Engineering Society |

Global
Institute of Technology holds the record of forming India’s
first ever Students Forum of Broadcast Engineering society (I).
An eminent scientist Prof. O.P.N.Calla graced the glorious
occasion of the inauguration of the Forum on 10th March,2007 at
GIT campus.The august presence of Dr. Awadhesh Kumar, Chairman,
Broadcast Engineering Society (BES), Jaipur and Shri O.P.
Rajpurohit, Hon. Secretary, BES lent an added significance and
glory to the occasion. Prof. Neeraj Gupta, Director, GIT,
Dr.S.P.Gupta, Principal, GIT, Shri S.K. Pokharna, Registrar and
other faculty members were present on the occasion. All the
51students were issued membership certificates. In his inaugural
address Prof. Calla reiterated that the combined efforts of the
management, staff and enthusiastic students shall bring laurels
to any Institute and GIT is no exception in this regard. He also
envisaged a bright future for the GITians. Earlier Prof.Neeraj
Gupta, Director, GIT welcomed and introduced the guests. |

Women’s Day

GIT’s Centre for Management Studies
celebrated the International Women’s day on 8th March 2007.To
mark the occasion, a seminar on ‘Women as organizational
Leaders’ was organized. Prof. Neeraj Gupta, Director, GIT
introduced the guests and Ms.Soundara Viswanathan offered them
floral welcome. Ms. Swati Tambi, Manager, Citifinancial, Malviya
Nagar briefed the MBA students about how to get a cutting edge
over others in this competitive world. Ms. Tambi opined that to
be successful in life one has to believe in oneself and has to
change the mind set as per the demand of the situation. She also
assured that sincere and hard working pupils are bound to be at
the top of the world. On the other hand, Dr.Asha Pande, Head,
Department of European Studies, University of Rajasthan urged
the young budding managers to accept the challenges with
confidence. Dr. Pande reiterated that there is no short cut to
success. |

RMoL-Rajasthan
Mission on Livelihoods |

A
two days workshop on Problems and perspectives of Vocational
education in Rajasthan was organized from 8th - 9th
December,2006 in GIT campus . The Rajasthan Mission on
Livelihoods (RMoL) has been set up by the present State
Government with the Honorable Chief Minister as its Chairperson
to address the Livelihood challenges being faced in Rajasthan
through development of strategies that impact both at the field
and policy level. RMoL has been undertaking various studies and
workshops on sectors, segments and on spatial basis, based on
which alternative livelihood strategies are being formed and
disseminated to the state government and various stakeholders in
the state. RMoL is also sponsoring short term skill training
programmes. |
