A
Faculty Development Program on .NET Technology was
organized in the institute in collaboration with
Microsoft, India from 18th December to 22nd December 2006.
Faculty members from more than 15 different colleges of
Rajasthan have participated in this training program.
The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. B. K. Sharma, Dean,
Faculty of Science, University of Rajasthan. Mr. Chandar
Sundaram, Head, Academic Alliance Microsoft, Banglore was
also present in the inaugural session. Mr. Chandar
Sundaram, said that we want more such types of programs to
be organized so as to promote Microsoft Technologies in
Rajasthan in India.
On the last day Valedictory session was organized. Mr.
Nitin Mittal, the Director of Microsoft Pricing and
licensing was present to mark the end of five day faculty
development program.
He along with many faculty members and students of Global
Institute of Technology had an open discussion in which
everyone had the opportunity to ask him about Microsoft,
Microsoft products, the future of Microsoft and many other
questions for Microsoft India and the US.
The session ended with the distribution of the
certificates and Microsoft software by Mr. Nitin Mittal.
Special software editions were given to many outside
faculty member by Mr. Rakesh Singhal and at last the vote
of thanks was delivered by Dr. SP Gupta, Principal, GIT.
The program was organized and coordinated by Mr. Prakash
Ramani, (HOD, Department of Computers & IT) and his team. |
